Terms & Conditions
1. Scope
These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases and custom commissions made through WePaintWatches.

2. Products and Services
WePaintWatches offers:
ready-to-ship hand-painted watches
custom hand-painted watches
custom hand-painted watch dials
customization services for suitable customer-owned watches
Custom projects are created according to the information, preferences and reference materials supplied by the customer.
3. Handmade Nature of the Work
Each painted dial is created individually by hand.
Due to the handmade nature of the work, minor variations in color, texture, brushwork, composition or detail may occur.
Such minor variations are part of the handmade character of the product and do not in themselves constitute a defect.
4. Custom Design Process
For custom projects, the customer provides an idea, references or design preferences.
Where applicable, WePaintWatches will develop or discuss the intended design direction before painting begins.
The customer is responsible for reviewing the agreed concept and communicating relevant changes before final approval.
5. Design Approval
Once a custom design has been approved and painting has begun, major design changes may no longer be possible.
Changes requested after approval may result in:
additional costs
extended production time
limitations due to work already completed
Any additional costs will be communicated before further work is undertaken.
Before painting begins, the customer will be asked to approve the agreed design direction, including the main composition, subject matter and colour direction.
The customer understands that the approved digital concept and reference images serve as a visual guide for the hand-painted artwork. Due to the handmade nature of the process, minor variations in colour, brushwork, texture, proportions and small details may occur. Such minor variations do not in themselves constitute a defect, provided that the finished work remains consistent with the agreed design direction.
Where a particular colour, detail or other feature is essential to the customer, this must be expressly communicated and agreed before painting begins.
6. Prices
Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the website or stated in an individual quotation.
Shipping costs and any additional charges will be shown during checkout or communicated before confirmation of a custom order.
Customers outside the European Union may be responsible for import duties, customs charges or local taxes imposed by the destination country.
7. Payment
Available payment methods are displayed during checkout or communicated for individual custom projects.
Custom projects may require full or partial payment before work begins.
An order is not considered accepted until the relevant order confirmation or individual confirmation has been issued.
8. Production Time
Custom projects typically require approximately 3 to 4 weeks after final design approval.
This is an estimate rather than a guaranteed completion date.
Complex designs, sourcing of specific watches or components, unexpected technical issues or other circumstances may extend the production time.
9. Delivery
Delivery times depend on the destination, selected shipping method, customs processing and the carrier.
Estimated delivery times are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed otherwise.
10. Customer-Owned Watches
Customers wishing to send their own watch for customization must contact WePaintWatches before shipping the watch.
WePaintWatches will first confirm whether the watch appears suitable for the requested work.
The customer is responsible for securely packaging the watch and following the agreed shipping instructions.
11. Existing Condition of Customer-Owned Watches
The customer should disclose any known defects, damage, previous modifications or technical issues before sending a watch.
Normal signs of wear or pre-existing damage remain the responsibility of the customer.
12. Technical Limitations
Not every watch or dial is suitable for every design.
Dial size, indices, date windows, subdials, hands and other technical features may affect what can reasonably be painted.
Where necessary, designs may be artistically adapted to suit the dimensions and technical requirements of the watch.
13. Reference Images and Intellectual Property
Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have the right to provide any photographs, logos, illustrations, designs or other reference materials submitted for a custom project.
WePaintWatches may refuse a project where there is a reasonable concern that the requested design would infringe the rights of a third party.
14. Portfolio Photography
WePaintWatches may photograph completed work for documentation and portfolio purposes.
Where a project contains particularly personal, confidential or commercially sensitive information, publication will be handled subject to any specific agreement made with the customer.
15. Personalized Products
Custom-painted watches and individually commissioned dials are produced according to the customer's individual specifications and personal requirements.
Where the legal requirements are met, such products are excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal under Section 312g (2) No. 1 BGB.
16. Ready-to-Ship Products
For ready-to-ship products that are not personalized, consumers may have a statutory right of withdrawal as described in our Right of Withdrawal policy.
17. Defects
The customer's statutory rights in relation to defective or non-conforming goods remain unaffected.
The exclusion of the right of withdrawal for personalized products does not exclude statutory rights relating to defects.
18. Governing Law
German law applies.
Mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable in the consumer's country of residence remain unaffected where legally required.
